- 2 lbs beef stew meat, cubed
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, cubed
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the beef cubes over medium heat, then set aside.
- Sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
- Add smoked paprika, caraway seeds, and tomato paste; cook for 2 minutes.
- Return beef to the pot, stir well.
- Pour in beef broth, bring to a simmer.
- Add carrots and potatoes, season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and simmer for 1.5-2 hours until beef is tender.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Best cooked slowly to tenderize the beef and develop flavors.
- You can add bell peppers or tomatoes for extra richness.
