  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for cinnamon coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup sugar with 2 teaspoons cinnamon for coating.
  7. Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls, roll in cinnamon sugar mixture, and place on the prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on wire racks.
