- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked pasta (penne or fusilli)
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium heat and sauté ground beef until browned. Add diced onion and garlic; cook until fragrant.
- Pour in tomato sauce and beef broth, stir in oregano and basil. Bring to a simmer.
- Add cooked pasta and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Ladle soup into bowls, top with ricotta and shredded mozzarella. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef.
- For a vegetarian version, use plant-based meat or extra vegetables.
