- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Marshmallows and caramel for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Remove from oven, top with marshmallows and caramel, then bake for an additional 2 minutes to melt toppings.
Notes
- For extra gooeyness, add more marshmallows on top before baking the last 2 minutes.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
