- 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced
- 1 package (9 ounces) cheese tortellini
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sausage slices and cook until browned.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Add tortellini and cook according to package instructions, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

- Add crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
