- 8 oz (225 g) fresh mushrooms, cleaned and stems removed
- 1/2 cup (60 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 cup (100 g) panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp (15 g) ranch seasoning mix
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). In a shallow dish, combine panko breadcrumbs, ranch seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Place flour in a separate dish and beaten egg in another. Dip each mushroom in flour, then egg, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Spray the coated mushrooms lightly with olive oil spray and arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately with ranch dipping sauce or your favorite dip.
Notes
- You can substitute fresh mushrooms with baby portobellos or button mushrooms.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle with grated Parmesan after cooking.
- Serve as a snack, appetizer, or side dish with a side of ranch dressing.
