- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- For topping: 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar (1/4 cup sugar + 1 teaspoon cinnamon)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, form dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar topping over each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of ground nutmeg or allspice to the dough.
