- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon milk
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry and cut into rectangles. Place on prepared sheet.
- Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread evenly over the pastry rectangles.
- Arrange sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Fold or create a border around the edges if desired. Brush edges with beaten egg mixed with milk.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh strawberries for best flavor. Substitute with other berries if desired.
- Can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
