  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry and cut into rectangles. Place on prepared sheet.
  3. Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread evenly over the pastry rectangles.
  4. Arrange sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese layer.
  5. Fold or create a border around the edges if desired. Brush edges with beaten egg mixed with milk.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
