Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 12 meatballs.
  2. Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. In a skillet, heat beef broth over medium heat. Mix cornstarch with a little water and add to the broth to thicken gravy.
  4. Add cooked meatballs to the gravy and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Prepare mashed potatoes with butter, cream, and herbs until smooth. Serve meatballs over mashed potatoes topped with gravy.
