- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 12 meatballs.
- Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- In a skillet, heat beef broth over medium heat. Mix cornstarch with a little water and add to the broth to thicken gravy.
- Add cooked meatballs to the gravy and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Prepare mashed potatoes with butter, cream, and herbs until smooth. Serve meatballs over mashed potatoes topped with gravy.
Notes
- You can add sautéed onions or mushrooms to the gravy for extra flavor.
- Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
