- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 package frozen tater tots (about 32 oz)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooked beef, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1 cup cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top with frozen tater tots in a single layer.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef.
- For a vegetarian version, use veggie crumbles and vegetable soup.
