- 1 pound Italian sausage links or patties
- 3 bell peppers (red, yellow, green), sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
Instructions
- Place sausage links or patties in the slow cooker.
- Add sliced bell peppers and onions over the sausage.
- Sprinkle garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper on top.
- Pour chicken broth over the ingredients.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until sausage is cooked through and peppers are tender.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of red wine or balsamic vinegar during cooking.
- Serve with crusty bread or over rice for a complete meal.
