  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, activate the yeast in warm milk with a teaspoon of sugar. Let sit until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and knead until smooth.
  3. Cover and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
  5. Shape into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. In a small bowl, mix minced garlic and chopped parsley. Brush the rolls with melted butter mixed with the garlic-parsley mixture.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
  8. Brush with extra garlic butter before serving for enhanced flavor.
