- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary or thyme
- Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and herbs. Add in the yeast mixture and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead briefly on a floured surface, then place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and transfer to a greased baking sheet, spreading to desired thickness.
- Mix minced garlic with a tablespoon of olive oil and spread over the dough. Sprinkle with sea salt and herbs.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy. Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, brush with additional olive oil after baking.
- You can add cherry tomatoes or olives on top before baking for variation.
